Meet the Team
Brent currently employs three legal assistants who help him with daily operations at the law office. They assist with conducting legal research, prepping cases for hearings or trials, and keeping the office organized. Brent is proud to work with the University of South Dakota to provide internship experiences for students in the community who are interested in pursuing law.

TyAnn is an undergraduate student at the University of South Dakota. In May of 2023, TyAnn will graduate with her bachelor's degree in Communications. TyAnn will be attending the University of South Dakota School of Law starting in the Fall of 2023. TyAnn will graduate law school in May of 2026. TyAnn has been working at Matter Law Office since 2021.
Kortney is a law student at the University of South Dakota School of Law. She will graduate in May of 2024. Kortney previously studied at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where she received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. Kortney has been working at the law office since the summer of 2022.
Melody is an undergraduate student at the University of South Dakota. In May of 2023, Melody will graduate with her bachelor's degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice. Upon graduation, Melody will be moving abroad to receive her Master's degree in Legal Studies from the University of Liverpool. Melody plans to attend law school when she returns. Melody has been working at the law office since the summer of 2022.
